…I think many people believe that means that we’ll have a world of consumers, since tablets and phones so far aren’t great creation tools. But I think that is changing, and quickly. Apps like Paper, from Fifty-three, and Diet Coda, from Panic, not to mention Instagram, are letting people create things on the fly that aren’t just throwaway, but are legitimate creations.
The iPad has already become a pretty powerful platform for some types of creativity. Snapseed for photographs, Animoog and Korg’s MS20 for computer synthesis. It’s early days, but as the horsepower in these devices increase, so too will their creative potential.
Tablets aren’t just toys for consuming.
![Carnitas Tacos(by robceemoz)
The taco. A traditional mexican dish served on flour or corn tortillas. Typically eaten without utensils. Sounds like a sandwich to me!• Shredded pork (cooked Dr.-Robert-Love-style! [modified recipe])*• Sour Cream• Cheese• Onions• Green Tomatillo sauce• Lime• hot sauce of your choice (I used Serrano Lime and Melinda’s Fire Roasted Habañero on these)• garnish with Cilantro (which I didn’t have, and is sorely lacking as a green component in this picture)
* The Carnitas variant of the taco is one made with seasoned, braised pork, pulled apart after cooking and then crisped. They are delicious.
Deb’s been making a variant of this recipe:http://food.rlove.org/2008/09/slow-braised-carnitas.html
I believe she has perfected it and if there’s enough interest, she may post her modifications on her blog.](http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lkkuoa4RqW1qzujjho1_400.jpg)
